# Delete a ticker post

`POST /ticker.delete`

## Description

Delete a post from the ticker.

Your integration can delete only posts its own app created. A post created
by a member or by another app returns `403` `access_denied`. Ownership
follows the app, not the token: every organization token of an OAuth app
posts as the same bot, so a post created with one token can be deleted
with another. Each API key is its own app with its own bot, so a post
created with one API key cannot be deleted with a different key. Admins can
delete any post in the Roam app, including your integration's.

A post that doesn't exist, was already deleted, or is in another Roam
returns `404` `ticker_message_not_found`; treat it as already gone. While
an admin has the ticker turned off, this call returns `403`
`ticker_disabled`, even for a post that would otherwise be found.

**Access:** Organization only (API Key or OAuth with admin consent).
Personal tokens, including Personal Access Tokens, get `403`
`access_mode_not_supported`.

**Required scope:** `ticker:write`

### 400 - Bad request. Common causes:
- Missing or invalid `id` (`invalid_parameter`, `param` is `id`)
- Malformed JSON body or an unknown field (`invalid_json`)


### 401 - Presented invalid authentication credentials.

### 403 - Forbidden. Common causes:
- Personal token (`access_mode_not_supported`)
- Token is missing `ticker:write` (`missing_scope`)
- The ticker is not available in this Roam (`ticker_not_available`)
- An admin has turned the ticker off (`ticker_disabled`)
- The post was created by a member or another app (`access_denied`)


### 404 - Not found. Common causes:
- Post not found, already deleted, or in another Roam (`ticker_message_not_found`)


### 405 - An unsupported method was requested.

### 500 - An internal error occurred.
